A Refined Workspace with an Industrial Design

While designing the new office space for Elephant, a venture capital company, the focus was creating a welcoming environment, consistent with the feel of the company’s Boston office. The full new build-out incorporated the space’s industrial design style, highlighting architectural materials such as whitewashed brick, concrete flooring, and black oxide metal.

Our design direction focused on the office's location and incorporation of the industrial design style. The whitewashed brick and black oxide metal flow from the larger shared space into individual offices. Walnut finishes and vertical elements in custom millwork and tambour wall details are repeated across the office, bringing the whole space together.

The waiting area has a dual function as a flex work space and break area in the office. We had vintage chandeliers delivered from France to complement the industrial atmosphere. The space's neutral color palette was designed with accents of olive green and midnight navy, creating a very sophisticated workspace.
